This all-inclusive luxury tour of the Columbia River Gorge, Crater Lake, Redwoods National Parks, Oregon Coast and Willamette Valley Wine Country begins and ends in Portland, Oregon.  Lake cruises, jet boat rides, vineyards, majestic forests and ocean scenery will be complimented with a taste of the local bounty from Oregon’s fertile soil. You’ll walk in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark while experiencing the high desert, majestic volcanoes, Pacific Ocean tranquility and the unique culture of Portland, Oregon.

Day 1:
Multnomah Falls, Hood River & Mt. Hood
Premium Lodging:  Timberline Lodge: Gov’t Camp, OR

We travel up the historic Columbia River Highway with a stop at the 542 foot-tall, two-tiered Multnomah Falls. Take a stroll to the top of Oregon’s most popular trail or simply view the falls from the foot bridge at the lower cascade. Witness the thunderous cascades and enjoy the refreshing mist either way you go. Our journey continues east to Hood River for lunch with time to explore the Hood River shopping district before visiting the famed Fruit Loop, where cherries, pears and grapes are in abundance.

Day 2:
Mt. Bachelor, Smith Rock State Park and Culinary Delights
Premium Lodging: Tetherow Lodge: Bend, Oregon

Our scenic drive starts at the top of Mt. Hood and descends into the high desert of Bend.  The landscape slowly transitions from the lush Evergreen trees of the Mt. Hood National Forest to the arid landscape of Central Oregon.  The unique smell of the sage, Ponderosa Pine, and fresh water from the rivers and lakes makes this a truly unique visit.  We’ll visit Smith Rock State Park, the Deschutes Brewery, and take a sunset evening chair lift ride on Mt. Bachelor, before relaxing at the beautiful Tetherow Lodge.

Day 3:
Crater Lake National Park
Premium Lodging: Crater Lake Lodge: Klamath Falls, OR

Excitement builds as we drive into the Crater Lake National Park for a visit to deepest lake in the United States, the ninth deepest in the world! Options include a hike and lake boat cruise, fishing, or general relaxation at the lodge offering panoramic views and relaxing hiking trails. The Volcano Boat Cruises depart from the north side at Cleetwood Cove, offering a fantastic perspective of the lake with a stop to explore Wizard Island. A National Park Service Ranger will offer cultural and natural history of Crater Lake. Upon returning, it’s time for the 1.1-mile hike out. For those who fish, no license is required. Kokanee Salmon and Rainbow Trout are both present and there is no limit to your catch. If hiking down to the boat and fishing are not your style, you have ample options to enjoy any of Crater Lake’s other 90 miles of hiking trails, or simply take a day at leisure. Our evening will be at the Crater Lake Lodge where you can relax in the crisp fresh air and beautiful scenery.

Day 4:
Rogue River Jet Boat Ride and Bandon Dunes

Today we go rogue on a 3 hour, 36-mile jet-boat excursion through Hellgate Canyon on the Rogue River, while the pilot narrates the history of the region and points out geographic features and wildlife such as deer, river otter, osprey, and bald eagles. The canyon’s 100-foot-high cliffs were made famous by the cliff jumping scene in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Meryl Streep in The River Wild.
We break for lunch at the OK Corral, an old homestead for an all-you-can-eat country style at n open-air buffet overlooking the river.  We complete our day’s adventure by unwinding at our luxurious Bandon Dunes hotel where you can get in a round of golf or enjoy the resort’s many options for walking trails and experiencing Oregon’s Southern Coast.

Day 5:
Redwood National Park
Premium Lodging:  Tu Tu Tun Lodge, Gold Beach OR

Crossing into northern California, we venture into Redwood National & State Park, a World Heritage Site known for its old-growth, temperate rainforest. With over 40 miles of coastline in the park, we will absorb every lookout and walk among the world’s tallest trees and a lush landscape of ferns, tide pools, and countless photo ops of the amazing flora and fauna.
After a full day of breathtaking sights, we arrive in the early evening to settle into the exclusive refuge that is the Tu Tu Tun Lodge. Walking trails and wildlife are in abundance for an evening stroll, and the Rogue River views from your room are spectacular.

Day 6:
Willamette Valley Wine Country
Premium Lodging:  Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront: Portland, OR

Home to more than 400 wineries, wine shops and wine bars, the Willamette Valley provides us a day to sample several wineries. In the heart of Oregon’s world-famous Pinot Noir country you’ll sip and savor a palate-pleasing selection culminating with a farewell dinner with our chef overlooking the vineyard views. We arrive in the Rose City at dusk welcomed by its many bridges. Your hotel is conveniently located to explore the culture and nightlife of Portland at your leisure.

Day 7:
Y’all Come Back

After breakfast, the Limo Liner will take the group to the Seatac International Airport for departure.  Thank you so much for trusting Experience Park Tours with you vacation time.
