Discover the legendary wildlife and scenery of the Pacific Northwest on this all-inclusive day-long adventure through Mount Rainier National Park. Explore key regions such as Sunrise, Nisqually, Ohanapecosh, Paradise and Longmire along side your expert guides and personal chef. The lush valleys, meadows of vibrant wildflowers, glaciers, elusive wildlife and the mountain await you on this Glimpse of the Majestic Landscapes of Mount Rainier.
We will depart from the Seattle Convention Center at 9 am to begin the two-hour scenic drive to Mt. Rainier National Park. If you haven’t already eaten, our hospitality guide will have a selection of on-the-go breakfast items and baked good available aboard the Limo Liner.
Entering through the White River Entrance, we’ll drive to Sunrise Visitor Center at the Northeastern corner of the park. The Sunrise region showcases spectacular views of Mount Rainier, Emmons Glacier, Shadow Lake, the Cascade Range, lush valleys and meadows of vibrant wildflowers. Here you will have the opportunity to hike any of the surrounding nature trails, ranging from 1 to 5 miles in distance. Before you go, our chef will send you off with locally-sourced snacks to fuel you throughout your adventure. When you return, lunch will be prepared and ready to serve.
Leaving Sunrise, we’ll drive along Sunrise Ridge until we reach Ohanapecosh. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to venture to the Grove of the Patriarchs – an island of old growth trees in the middle of the Ohanapecosh River. The short mile trek leads you over a bridge suspended above the river. Once on the island, you’ll find thousand-year-old Douglas Firs and Red Cedars towering above lush undergrowth.
Driving west, we’ll visit key destinations such as Cougar Falls, Stevens Canyon, Louise Lake and view Box Canyon from the bridge that sits 180 feet above the Cowlitz River.
Next, we’ll capture the reflection of the mountain in the subalpine waters of the Reflection Lakes.
Once at Paradise Inn, multiple scenic options await you. For those who want to hike, there are easy, moderate and difficult trails each showcasing grand panoramic views of Mount Rainier, glacial waterfalls, and the surrounding valley. Before we go, take the time to walk through the Henry M Jackson Memorial Visitor Center to view educational exhibits and gift shops.
Continuing through the Nisqually region, we’ll drive along Paradise River, stopping to view Narada, Carter and Christine Falls.
The golden hours of the day bring us to Cougar Rock where we’ll capture a true Pacific Northwest sunset. We’ll pull out chairs to sit and relax as the sun paints the evening sky over the valley. Enjoy a selection of appetizers and local wine tastings served by our chef while the day comes to a close.
We’ll board the Limo Liner once more to make our way back to the Seattle Convention Center. Thank you for trusting us with your valued vacation time and for choosing Experience Park Tours. Happy Travels!
