Come aboard the Limo Liner for a full immersion into the Columbia River Gorge on this all-inclusive day-long adventure. Walk in the footsteps of Lewis and Clark through key regions such as Vista House, Multnomah Falls, Hood River, The Dalles, and Maryhill Winery along side your expert guides and personal chef. The valley of the Gorge, lush orchards and the end of the Oregon Trail await you on this Glimpse of An Oregon Adventure.
We will depart from the Portland Convention Center at 9am. If you haven’t already eaten, our chef will have a selection of on-the-go breakfast items and baked good available aboard the Limo Liner.
Traveling up the historic Columbia River Highway, we’ll stop at Vista House for a welcome toast as we view into the Gateway to the Gorge.
We’ll continue to the 620 foot-tall, two-tiered Multnomah Falls. Take a stroll to the top of Oregon’s most popular trail or simply view the falls from the footbridge at the lower cascade. Witness the thunderous cascades and enjoy the refreshing mist either way you go.
Next, we’ll stop at the Bonneville Fish Hatchery to view the salmon and sturgeon ponds.
Driving east along the Columbia River, we’ll explore the Hood River shopping district and savor the local fare of the region.
Next, we’ll take a scenic drive along the famed Hood River Fruit Loop, where cherries, pears, and grapes are in abundance. We’ll make stops at our favorite fruit stands along the way as we seek spectacular views of Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge.
Twenty minutes down the road we’ll enter the quaint town of The Dalles, Oregon. Known as the official end of the Oregon Trail, we will stop at the Lewis and Clark Columbia River Discovery Center where we will dive deeper into the history of the town, the discoveries of Lewis and Clark, and learn about life on the Oregon Trail.
Continuing east, we’ll cross over The Dalles bridge with views of The Dalles Dam on the right and the Columbia River Gorge on the left, finally reaching the Stonehenge WWI Memorial – an exact replica of the ancient Neolithic structure found in the country of Wiltshire.
To end our day, we’ll venture to the beautiful Maryhill Winery for a tour of the vineyard paired with a tasting of their signature wines. Take a moment to relax on the porch overlooking the Columbia River Gorge with dinner and wine in hand as the sun sets over the landscape.
We’ll board the Limo Liner once more to make our way back to the Portland Convention Center. Thank you for trusting us with your valued vacation time and for choosing Experience Park Tours. Happy travels!
