Yellowstone Day Trip
Discover the legendary wildlife and scenery of Yellowstone National Park. From the thriving wildlife of Lamar Valley, to the vibrant terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs, to breathtaking canyons and waterfalls, the country’s prime national park offers riveting opportunities and subjects for all travelers who come from far and wide to experience the Alpine Wonders.
A Yellowstone wildlife and backcountry photography expert will join us on our day as we explore the Upper Yellowstone Loop, stopping to view and photograph the geological wonders and elusive wildlife of the region. Our morning scenic drive brings us to Artist’s Point where a perfectly timed rainbow appears across the majestic Upper Falls. With multiple hiking opportunities, the canyon offers a variety of perspectives of the Upper and Lower Falls.
We’ll continue to Canyon Village to learn of the history and geography of the park at the Visitor Education Center.
Next, we’ll venture to Dunraven Pass where the landscape showcases key viewpoints of Observation Peak, Mount Washburn, and Calcite Springs. Savor an in-field lunch prepared by our chef during this scenic journey.
Continuing east, the landscape uncovers the cascading waters of Tower Fall where guests may take the short hike to the bottom or simply view it from the top.
We’ll continue through Roosevelt Junction to Mammoth Hot Springs. Home to the Historic Fort Yellowstone, this location boasts expansive views of the surrounding valley, Swan Lake, and the vibrant orange and white travertine terraces.
As the evening approaches, we’ll carefully dissect the wonders of Lamar Valley behind the lens. Bison, grizzly bears, wolves, pronghorn, bighorn sheep, mountain goats and Roosevelt elk highlight this trek through the heart of Yellowstone’s showcase of wildlife. Take in the sunset as our chef serves a specially prepared dinner that reflect the flavors of the region.
We’ll board the Limo Liner once more to make the drive back to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone. Thank you for choosing Experience Park Tours.
