Experience Park Tours, in partnership with Vacation Races, is pleased to present the Grand Teton Half Marathon featuring our all-inclusive 7 day, 6 night Alpine Wonders adventure. Discover the legendary wildlife and incredible scenery of the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Come with us as we view the vibrant thermal features in the caldera of the Super Volcano and dive into the history Yellowstone. We’ll visit the wildlife hotspots of the Lamar and Hayden Valleys and explore the historical region at the foot the Grand Teton Mountain Range. You won’t want to leave your racing shoes behind on this one-of-a kind adventure in the Alpine Wonders!

Day 1: Bozeman, 320 Guest Ranch, Sunset Horseback Riding
Premier Lodging: 320 Guest Ranch: Gallatin Gateway, MT

Our trip begins with farm to table dining at Montana Ale Works. We’ll board the Limo Liner and drive into the Gallatin National Forest to check in at the rustic 320 Guest Ranch, with private cabins set directly on the Gallatin River. Enjoy photographing the setting landscape, or hop on a horse for a guided trail walk on the ranch. Later, head to the 320 Saloon for an authentic gourmet cowboy dinner.

Day 2: Yellowstone Lower Grand Loop

The early morning hours offer the best natural light for photos and the greatest opportunity for viewing animals. We begin our day aboard the Limo Liner with a specially prepared breakfast from our chef. A Yellowstone wildlife and backcountry photography expert will join us on our day as we explore the Lower Yellowstone Loop, stopping to photograph the geological wonders inside the caldera of the Super Volcano. Driving along the Fire Hole river, we’ll visit key areas such as the Fountain Flats, Norris Geyser Basin, Old Faithful, and Midway and Lower Geyser Basins, where you’ll find outstanding colors of steamy blue, bright green and rusty orange.

Day 3: Yellowstone Upper Grand Loop

Today is a day for discovering the majestic scenery and vibrant wildlife of this treasured American region. Our exploration of the northern end of the Grand Loop of Yellowstone uncovers cascading waterfalls, Mount Washburn, Roosevelt Junction, the Lamar Valley, the amazing travertine terraces of Mammoth Hot Springs, and the north end of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Boarding the Limo Liner, our morning brings us to Artist’s Point where a perfectly timed rainbow appears across the majestic Upper Falls. Day 4: Scenic Drive to Jackson Hole

We will begin our day late in the morning with a scenic drive south of Yellowstone for a full immersion into the Grand Teton National Park. Venturing to Jackson Lake Lodge, we’ll find panoramic views of the alpine mountain range set behind wetlands just outside of the lodge, providing the perfect setting to spot a moose. We will make our way to Jenny Lake where our chef will prepare lunch on the banks of the lakeshore. Options at Jenny Lake include a trip to the Visitor’s Center, a round-trip trail run to Hidden Falls, a stroll along the banks of the lake, or simply relaxing with a cooling refreshment in the crisp mountain air. We will continue around the Grand Teton Loop with multiple stops for viewing the wildlife as we prepare for the best photo opportunities for elk, pronghorn and bison – and of course the Grand Teton Range.

Day 5: Grand Teton Half Marathon Race Day

Grand Teton Half Marathon Runners
The chef will serve a hearty breakfast on the Limo Liner as you are escorted to the start line. There will be an assortment of pre-race energy gels, bars, and beverages for your convenience. Head to the Vacation Races and Experience Park Tours VIP tent to check-in, warm up and do what you need to prepare. During the race, your guide, chef and driver will be there to cheer you on every step of the way. They’ll meet you at the finish line and escort you to the Limo Liner to rest and begin your recovery. Shaded away from the elements beneath the Limo Liner’s awning, you will find cots to rest on while your guide provides hot and cold towels infused with essential oils. There will be ice tubs, compression sleeves and muscle rollers for your legs, as well as any other personal requests made prior to the race.

Day 6: Spa Services, Grand Teton Sunset Wildlife Eco Tour

Spring Creek Ranch: Jackson, WY

Take the morning to sleep in and enjoy the lodge. After breakfast, head to the SpaTerre for revitalizing spa treatments. For our runners, indulge in a deep tissue massage designed for athletes. After a morning of zen and relaxation, spend the early afternoon as you wish. The Limo Liner will escort you to any surrounding hiking trails, or other activities you wish to experience. Later in the day, we’ll board the Limo Liner to drive into Jackson Hole where we’ll will depart on a 4-hour sunset…

Day 7: The Journey Home

Breakfast is included at your hotel as well as a shuttle service to the airport. If you aren’t quite ready to say goodbye, we are more than happy to make further trip arrangements. The valley of Jackson Hole has an abundance of explorations to take part in. If you didn’t have a chance to go to the spa, your Flex Pass will be loaded with a dollar amount that can be put towards a deep tissue massage or any spa service of your choosing to further your recovery.
