Day 1: Multnomah Falls, Hood River & Mt. Hood
Premier Lodging: Hood River Inn: Hood River, OR

We will drive up the historic Columbia River Highway with a stop at the 542 foot-tall, two-tiered Multnomah Falls. A leisurely moderate stroll to the top of Oregon’s most popular trail is 2.2 miles one way with 700 feet of elevation gain. For those just wanting to see the falls, it’s only a 5 minute walk to the foot bridge at the lower cascade. Witness the thunderous Cascades and enjoy the refreshing mist either way you go. Our journey will then continue East to Hood River Oregon for lunch. You’ll have time to explore the Hood River shopping district before we relish in the famed fruit loop where cherries, pears and grapes are in abundance.

Day 2: Mt. Bachelor, Smith Rock State Park and Culinary Delights
Premium Lodging: Tetherow Lodge: Bend, OR

Our scenic drive starts at the top of Mt. Hood and descends into the high desert of Oregon- the home of the Pacific Northwest Marathon. The landscape slowly transitions from the lush Evergreen trees of the Mt. Hood National Forest to the arid landscape of Central Oregon. The unique smell of the sage, ponderosa pine, and fresh water from the rivers and lakes makes this a truly unique visit. We will visit Smith Rock State Park, the Deschutes Brewery, and take a sunset evening chair lift ride on Mt. Bachelor. The evening will be equally as relaxing while we stay at the Tetherow Lodge which is beautifully situated for a perfect night of rest.

Day 3: Crater Lake National Park
Premier Lodging: Ashland Hills: Ashland, OR

Excitement builds as we drive into the Crater Lake National Park for a visit to deepest lake in the United States at 1,943 feet-which is also the ninth deepest lake in the world! You know exercise and we know the outdoors. Here, we will be able to experience them both. Options for your day include a hike and lake boat cruise, fishing, or general relaxation at our the lodge. For those wanting to hike down to the water, we will take a lake cruise to learn about the history, geology, and cultural significance of the lake while viewing the natural beauty of the caldera from the boat. The Volcano Boat Cruises depart from the north side of Crater Lake at Cleetwood Cove. Guests must make the 1.1 mile hike on Cleetwood Trail to access the lake and boat dock. This hike can be very strenuous as it drops approximately 700 feet and may take 30 to 45 minutes to descend the trail.

Day 4: Rogue River Jet Boat Ride & Pre-Race Tour
Premium Lodging: Hilton Hotel: Eugene, OR

Today we go rogue on a 3 hour, 36-mile round trip jet boat excursion through Hellgate Canyon on the Rogue River in Oregon. Feel the wind in your hair as our high-speed boat skims over the Rogue River’s surface with just inches of water between the boat and the rocks below. The pilot narrates the historic overview of the region and points out geographic features and wildlife such as deer, river otter, osprey, and bald eagles.
We will break for lunch at the OK Corral, an old homestead for an all you can eat country style buffet with an open air deck reserved exclusively for our group. Overlooking the beautiful Rogue River, savor a lunch of tossed green salad with homemade honey-mustard dressing and BBQ chicken to fuel your body for tomorrow. Dessert, refreshments and anything else to help you prepare for your big day will be prepared.
