We take the first steps of our adventure at 11am, traveling up the historic Columbia River Highway, stopping at Vista House for a welcome toast as we view into the Gateway to the Gorge. We’ll continue to the 620 foot-tall, two-tiered Multnomah Falls for a stroll to the top of Oregon’s most popular trail or a view of the falls from the footbridge at the lower tier. Witness the thunderous cascades and enjoy the raw, fresh mist either way you go. We will cross over the Bridge of the Gods and stop at Maryhill Winery for a tour and wine tasting paired with lunch. We will drive East along the Columbia River and cross over The Dalles bridge, with breathtaking views of the Columbia River on the left and The Dalles Dam on the right. Known as the official end of the Oregon Trail, we will stop at the Lewis and Clark Discovery Center where we will dive deeper into the history of the town, the discoveries of Lewis and Clark, and learn about life on the Oregon Trail. We will then drive to the neighboring town of Hood River to explore the shopping district before visiting the Hiyu Wine Farm for an exceptional experience at the Smock Shop Band Winery. Savor an intimate dinner with ingredients foraged and sourced straight from the farm, paired with naturally crafted wines presented by Master Sommelier Nate Ready. We will end our day with a sunset drive along the famed Hood River Fruit Loop, where cherries, pears and grapes are in abundance. Ending in the comfort and warmth of the Timberline Lodge, take in the crisp alpine environment of Mt. Hood and enjoy the amenities at the lodge.

Day 2: Smith Rock State Park, Deschutes Brewery, Maragas Winery and Mt Bachelor
Premium Lodging: Tetherow Lodge: Bend, OR

Indulge in an award winning breakfast at the Cascade Dining Room in the lodge. After breakfast, take in the lodge how you choose including wandering through the surrounding walking trails to enjoy seasonal wildflowers. Our scenic drive begins at the top of Mt. Hood and descends into the high desert of Bend, Oregon. The landscape slowly transcends from the lush Evergreen trees of the Mt. Hood National Forest to the arid landscape of Central Oregon. Take in the unique smell of sage, Ponderosa Pine, and fresh water from the rivers and lakes, making this a truly unique visit. Our Chef will provide an abundance of appetizers throughout the afternoon, fueling you as we experience the scenic deep river canyons of Smith Rock State Park.
We will stop at Maragas Winery, the founding winery of Central Oregon, to enjoy views of Smith Rock and the Cascade Mountains while sipping award winning wines paired with lunch on the patio. The Limo Liner will continue to the beautiful Tetherow Lodge where guests may freshen up before we escape to the mountains for a scenic chair lift up Mt. Bachelor to Pine Marten Lodge. While the sun lingers across the landscape, enjoy fine dining at 7,800 feet sourced directly from Central Oregon. Pair this with a tasting from a selection of local breweries, distilleries and wineries as we watch the sun set behind the Central Cascades. To complete our day of exploring, we will return to the Tetherow Lodge where guests may choose to end their day or board the Limo Liner to the Deschutes Brewery in downtown Bend, Oregon for appetizers and a tasting of their finest selections.

Day 3: Crater Lake National Park
Premier Lodging: Running Y Ranch: Klamath Falls, OR

Take the morning to golf on the visually striking par 72 course only steps away from your door at Tetherow Lodge. Designed by award-winning architect David McLay Kidd, the course features stunning panoramic views of the Cascade peaks, including Three Sisters and Broken Top with a glimpse into the surrounding high desert terrain. Don’t forget to reserve a GolfBoard – a device similar to a golf cart, allowing a solo golfer to easily navigate the course. They add excitement to your game, improve your speed of play, and ultimately preserve the turf on the course. Excitement builds as we drive into the Crater Lake National Park for a visit to the deepest lake in the United States – the ninth deepest in the world! For those who don’t mind the trek, the Volcano Boat Cruises will depart from the north side at Cleetwood Cove, offering a fantastic perspective of the lake with a stop to explore Wizard Island. A National Park Service Ranger will offer a cultural and natural history of Crater Lake. Upon returning, it’s time for the 1.1 mile hike out. If you’re interested in fishing, no license is required. Kokanee Salmon and Rainbow Trout are both plentiful and there is no limit to your catch.
If hiking down to the boat and fishing are not your style, you have ample options to enjoy any of Crater Lake’s other 90 miles of hiking trails, or simply take the day to relax by the lakeshore. Our evening will be at the Running Y Ranch & Resort where you can unwind in the crisp fresh air and beautiful scenery. We top off our day by joining together for a private group dinner at the resort’s Greenhouse where a chef will prepare a farm-to-table dinner sourced directly from the Running Y gardens.
