We take the first steps of our adventure at 11am, traveling up the historic Columbia River Highway, stopping at Vista House for a welcome toast as we view into the Gateway to the Gorge. We’ll continue to the 620 foot-tall, two-tiered Multnomah Falls for a stroll to the top of Oregon’s most popular trail or a view of the falls from the footbridge at the lower tier. Witness the thunderous cascades and enjoy the raw, fresh mist either way you go.
Continuing East along the Columbia River, we will stop in the Hood River for lunch and to explore the shopping district. Next we’ll find ourselves 20 minutes down the road at the Lewis and Clark Discovery Center where we will learn about the discoveries of Lewis and Clark and dive deeper into the history of the town of The Dalles, known as the official end of the Oregon Trail. Crossing over The Dalles Bridge with views of the Columbia river on the left and The Dalles Dam on the right, we’ll venture to the beautiful Maryhill Winery for a tour of the vineyard and wine tasting. The evening will conclude in the warmth of Skamania Lodge Golf Resort.
Premium Lodging: Tetherow Lodge: Bend, Oregon
Take advantage of the morning to golf on the challenging 18-hole, par-70 golf course at Skamania Lodge, featuring a driving range, a practice bunker, chipping and putting greens, a full-service golf shop, cart rentals, and PGA Professionals to help you with your game. Hood and descending into the high desert of Bend, Oregon. The landscape slowly transcends from the lush evergreen trees of the Mt. Hood National Forest to the arid landscape of Central Oregon, with the unique smell of the sage, ponderosa pine, and fresh water from the rivers and lakes making this a truly unique visit. We will continue our journey driving through Smith Rock State Park to experience its scenic deep river canyons and wildlife before jetting off to Maragas Winery, the founding winery of Central Oregon. Enjoy views of Smith Rock and the Cascade Mountains while sipping award winning wines on the patio. The Limo Liner will stop at Tetherow Lodge, where guests may head to their rooms to rest and experience downtown Bend on their own time, or continue to Mt. Bachelor to enjoy a sunset dinner overlooking the Cascades. To top off your evening, visit the Deschutes Brewery at the Bend Public House for appetizers and a tasting of their finest brews.

Designed by award-winning architect David McLay Kidd, the course features stunning panoramic views of the Cascade peaks, including Three Sisters and Broken Top with a glimpse into the surrounding high desert terrain. Don’t forget to reserve a GolfBoard – a device similar to a golf cart, allowing a solo golfer to easily navigate the course. They add excitement to your game, improve your speed of play, and ultimately preserve the turf on the course. Excitement builds as we drive into the Crater Lake National Park for a visit to deepest lake in the United States – the ninth deepest in the world! For those who don’t mind the trek, the Volcano Boat Cruises will depart from the north side at Cleetwood Cove, offering a fantastic perspective of the lake with a stop to explore Wizard Island. A National Park Service Ranger will offer a cultural and natural history of Crater Lake. Upon returning, it’s time for the 1.1 mile hike out. If you’re interested in fishing, no license is required; Kokanee Salmon and Rainbow Trout are both plentiful and there is no limit to your catch. If hiking down to the boat and fishing are not your style, you have ample options to enjoy any of Crater Lake’s other 90 miles of hiking trails, or simply take a day at leisure. We will continue to Running Y Ranch Resort where the sun shines 300 days a year. We’ll join together at the Greenhouse for a private fine-dining experience where the chef will hand-pick ingredients from the resort’s garden to prepare a signature dish. End the evening viewing a beautiful sunset from the resort.
