Experience Park Tours, in partnership with Vacation Races, is pleased to present the Zion Half Marathon featuring our all-inclusive 7 day, 6 night Desert Dreamscapes adventure. The diversity of the surrounding ancient lands will provide endless inspiration as we travel along sandstone monoliths and dive into the warm and colorful world of rivers and canyons of the dazzling southwest. Come with us as we explore the oasis of Zion National Park as we prepare for the Zion Half Marathon. We’ll visit the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, the breathtaking views of the winding canyons of Lake Powell, the towering hoodoos of Bryce Canyon and the red rock arches and canyonlands of Moab. You won’t want to leave your racing shoes behind on this one-of-a kind adventure in the American Southwest!
Premier Lodging: Lake Powell Resort: Page, AZ
The Limo Liner will depart after lunch as we head for Grand Canyon National Park, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, with an average depth of 1 mile and a width of 10 miles. We’ll begin at the Hopi House before heading to Yavapai point to marvel over glorious views will eating a gourmet lunch served and prepared by our chef. We’ll explore the ancient Tusayan Ruins before continuing to the famous Desert View Watchtower.
Premium Lodging: Zion Lodge: Springdale, AZ
Take the morning to relax and enjoy lake or hike through one of the many surrounding slot canyons (weather dependant). If you’re wanting to get out on the water, explore the warm waters and winding canyons of Lake Powell on a kayak. Before leaving the region, we’ll head into the town of Page to begin our guided tour for a tour of the infamous Antelope Canyon. Then we’ll through the arid red rock desert, into the green oasis of Zion National Park where we will board a private tram tour of the park, highlighting colorful sandstone canyons and 3,000-foot-high palisades towering above the lush greenery of the canyon floor. Observe thriving vegetation including cottonwood trees, dry desert plants and wildlife ranging from mule deer to hundreds of bird species. Tonight is yours to relax at the historic Zion Lodge as we prepare for the long-awaited Zion Half Marathon.

The chef will serve a hearty breakfast on the Limo Liner as you are escorted to the start line. There will be an assortment of pre-race energy gels, bars, and beverages for your convenience. Head to the Vacation Races and Experience Park Tours VIP tent to check-in, warm up and do what you need to prepare. Your guide, driver and chef will meet you at the finish line and escort you to the Limo Liner to rest and begin your recovery. Shaded away from the elements beneath the Limo Liner’s awning, you will find cots to rest on while your guide provides hot and cold towels infused with essential oils. There will be ice tubs, compression sleeves and muscle rollers for your legs, as well as any other personal requests made prior to the race. Premium Lodging: The Lodge at Bryce Canyon: Bryce, UT
Take the morning to sleep in and enjoy the lodge and surrounding canyons. After lunch, we’ll make our way through the iconic western landscape of Utah, later entering Bryce Canyon National Park, a wondrous land of pines, pinnacles and oddly sculpted formations known as hoodoos. We’ll stop at Sunset Point to peer into the Bryce Amphitheater where you’ll discover a field of hoodoos. Magnificent spires tinted with shades of pink, orange and red put on a captivating show as the light changes across the setting landscape. Keep an eye open for the park’s abundant wildlife including elk, coyotes, marmots, and prairie dogs as we explore the park from your sought after accommodations at The Lodge at Bryce Canyon.
Premium Lodging: Sorrel River Ranch: Moab, UT
Today we take in the sunrise to appreciate the hoodoos, spires, pinnacles and other geological formations of Bryce Canyon in an atmosphere that is unmatched. If you’re ready to run, there are various trails, both moderate and strenuous for you to explore. For those who wish to experience these captivating rock formations up close, take a stroll through Wall Street, the only slot canyon at Bryce. Continue onto the Navajo Trail where you’ll find Two Bridges and Thor’s Hammer towering above you. To extend your adventure, follow the trail to meet Queens Garden trail where you’ll discover the massive rock formation known as Queen Victoria. The 3 mile trail ends at Sunrise Point where the Limo Liner will be there to greet you.
Premier Lodging: Sorrel River Ranch: Moab, UT
Today we start early with an optional trip into Canyonlands National Park to catch the inspiring sunrise from the scenic viewpoint at Mesa Arch. If you’re ready to run, Neck Spring Loop offers 5.8 miles of trail with 300 feet of elevation change and features historic ranches, two sweep springs, and diverse plant life. We’ll take the later part of the morning to float down the Colorado River through Glen Canyon. As we glide past colorful walls of Navajo sandstone, our experienced river adventure guide will provide a wealth of knowledge about the canyon that surrounds you. We will return to Sorrel River Ranch for an afternoon of rest and relaxation along the banks of the Colorado River. Take a dip in the heated pool, or stop by the resort’s spa for a revitalizing Ranchers Deep Tissue Massage. Later in the evening, you have the option to board a jet boat for a dazzling sunset tour on the Colorado River. We will be ending our night back in Moab with a unique, open-air Dutch oven dinner on the dock patios.
Optional Premier Lodging: Radisson Salt Lake: Salt Lake City, UT
We will depart early for our final immersion into the National Parks. Our private chef will have a special breakfast available on the Limo Liner to fuel you for an active day of sightseeing as we enter the outstanding Arches National Park. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to hike the short trails that reach the dazzling arches of the region such as Balanced Rock, The Windows, Double Arch, Delicate Arch, and Landscape Arch.
